Collection and processing of data

Each access to our Internet page and each retrieval of a file stored on our website is recorded. The storage serves internal system-related and statistical purposes. The following things are recorded: name of the file retrieved, date and time of the retrieval, data quantity transferred, report of successful retrieval, web browser and requesting domain, as well as the previous page visited. In addition, the IP addresses of the requesting computer are recorded as personal data. Pohl-Boskamp cannot allocate this data to any specific person. Other personal data is only recorded if the user of the website and/or customer provides this information voluntarily, for example within the scope of an inquiry or registration, or to conclude a contract or through his browser settings. Our website uses cookies. A cookie is a text file that is sent when a website is visited and temporarily stored on the hard drive of the user of the website and/or customer.

If the corresponding server of our website is opened by the user of the website and/or customer once again, the user’s and/or customer’s browser sends the cookie that had been received back to the server. The server can then evaluate the information received through this procedure in various ways. Cookies may be used for such purposes as managing advertisements or making it easier to navigate a website. If the user of the website and/or customer wishes to disable the use of cookies, he/she can do this by means of changing the settings of the Internet browser used on his computer, i.e. the program for opening and displaying Internet pages (e.g. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera or Safari).

Use and forwarding of personal data

If the user of our website has provided personal data, we will only use this data to answer inquiries from the user of the website and/or customer, to execute contracts concluded with the user of the website and/or customer and for technical administration. Personal data is only forwarded or otherwise transmitted to third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of executing the contract or for accounting purposes, or if the user of the website and/or customer had consented to it in advance.

The user of the website and/or customer has the right to revoke consent that was given effective in the future at any time. Stored personal data will be deleted if the user of the website and/or customer revokes consent to its storage, if knowledge of the data is no longer required to fulfill the purpose of the storage or if its storage is not permitted for other statutory reasons. Data for accounting and bookkeeping purposes are not affected by a request for deletion.

Upon the order of the competent authorities, we may, on a case-by-case basis, provide information about the data (existing data), to the extent that this is required for purposes of criminal prosecution, aversion of risks, fulfillment of the statutory duties of the constitutional protection authorities, or of the military counterintelligence service, or for enforcement of intellectual property rights.
